let me tell you about my weekends.

i was out of town every weekend of february.  and it was insane.  let me tell you about it.

new york.
derek's "adopted" grandparents, fred & judy, live in fredonia, new york.  fred passed away in january and so we flew out for the memorial service.  derek gave a beautiful eulogy.  it was a wonderful weekend away with family.
...the return flights, not so much.

st. george.

it was a bus drive down, classes all day, and a bus drive back.  a too quick, work conference get-a-way.  but then i got to see raquel and meet baby ayla for like an hour after i got back.

texas.

derek and i flew to texas for president's day weekend.  we stayed with the orme's, which is always a good time.  eli keeps up entertained.   we went house hunting,

[oh yeah, did i mention we're moving there in june?!?]

we played at the park, enjoyed the sunshine, had valentines pazookies, and saw family and friends.

[and then i threw up.]

st. george, again.

we went with maria to the parade of homes.  it was a quick weekend, but we had so much fun.  her grandma was nice enough to let us stay with her, and we loved the sunshine and dreamland houses.

...as you can tell, baby did not like the late nights traveling home.  

grateful for awesome weekend trips, but glad to be sleeping in my own bed.
