cousin fun.

we got to spend an evening with the ayers.

a birthday silobration.

every birthday deserves a trip to magnolia.

[and if you can fit three moms and four carseats in one vehicle, you win.]

that cupcake, totally worth it.

hail, tornadoes, rain, oh my.

...because texas storms are a real thing.

and when you get this text on your phone you freak out.

and then you hide in the closet under the stairs for an hour.

and when you get out you find hail the size of tennis balls.

and then you wonder why people [you] live here.

[also, there was no tornado. fyi.]

all the spring tulips.

every time i think of tulips i think of that stupid joke that i only know the punch line for, "my two-lips!"  

but, the tulips at the arboretum this year did not disappoint.  it was fun having family in town to go with us!

park days.

winter in texas is the absolute best part about living here. 

there might be disgusting bugs, and snakes, and dreadfully hot summers...

but winter!!!

we have a few cold days here and there but most weeks have one or (five) days we can go to the park or on walks or just be outside in a nice 75 degrees.  

we are living it up.  

zoo day.

derek's brother got us a zoo season pass for christmas.  we invited the "mom squad" [as we lovingly refer to ourselves... mostly, we just look like a walking circus with all our strollers and babies. HA!] and spent a day at the zoo.  i think emery had more fun watching the people than the animals, but we still had a fun time!

winter weather.

i used to hate having a winter birthday.

and then i moved to texas. 

75 degrees in january?

we'll take it.

a walter christmas.

my family was able to come down to spend christmas with us.  

it was a fabulous [warm] texas christmas. 

 we spent a night in downtown grapevine looking at the lights.  

matching pjs for us all.

somebody was a little spoiled...

but the absolute best part was making our family music video.  

i told them it was the tradition i wanted to start.  

they delivered.

other things of note...

 tennis on christmas eve.  in t-shirts. // mommas holding babies holding babies.

little ems is so loved.  // grandma, grandpa, & uncle add. 

we love having visitors.

labor day weekend.

our weekend consisted of:

games for days.  home depot trips & painting.  a pool outing.  grapevine mills mall.  a trip to the ER for addison.  naps.  pedicures.  & lots of baby cuddles.

so, so, so happy when family is in town.
