come to know.

tonight we had a relief society activity that focused on
coming to know our Savior.
some shared their experiences and i felt uplifted.
i came home feeling inspired and began reading.
in mosiah 4:6 it talks about "His patience".
i wondered what this could possibly mean.
"well," i began, "this probably means He probably doesn't get frustrated with me every time i make a mistake.
or doesn't complain when i'm annoying.
or get mad because i said something rude or did something i didn't like."
my list kept going.
and then i opened "preach my gospel" and it was as if it was written just for me.
i will be studying His attributes in chapter 6.
specifically His patience.
so that i, personally, can come to know my Savior.
and be patient, like Him.

  1. What a beautiful idea for a RS Meeting! Coming to know the Savior is what this life is all about and I'm glad it was the focus of this meeting. I think along with patience comes a fair amount of love first (duh, of course); He is full of love, then He patiently waits for us to come to Him and to get to know Him. He loves us through all of the times we get impatient with Him and He patiently waits to bless us until we are ready. Thanks for sharing about this; you are amazing!!
