gender reveal.

we went in the end of february to do an "early ultrasound" at 16 weeks to find out if baby asay is a boy or girl.  i was certain it was a boy.  like for sure.  derek was thinking girl.  we did our ultrasound test and she said, "well, it looks like it's a girl."  and my response was, "oh really?"  haha!  no crying, no excitement, nothing.  the tech then said, "so, are you happy about that?"  YES, of course!  i was just so surprised!

we had a small gathering with pink filled cupcakes [which was the worst idea-i'm a terrible baker].  my brother guessed girl, and brought all the balloons with him.  it was the perfect backdrop.  everyone was just as surprised as we were... everyone else thought it was a boy too!

we are so excited for baby girl asay to join our family!  [although, i'm skeptical until our next ultrasound to double check.... i mean, how can they look at that little tiny black and white screen and know?!]
