when we were heading down here for the summer, derek kept telling me how worried he was. "you won't have anything to do there! you won't know anybody! you'll be home by yourself all day."
my response was always, "exactly. that's why i went into teaching."
in two weeks, i've read five books. (shannon hale for the win.) i've finished sewing projects that i haven't touched in years. i started learning spanish. and i've exercised every day this week. (that's really a first in years.) oh, and yesterday i was still in my pajamas when derek got home.
this, my friends, is the teacher life.
... it's the best during the school year and even better during the summer.
