provo temple parable. part II.

on monday, march 31, angel moroni was placed on top of the new provo temple.
for family night we made our way down there to check out the newest addition.

i love the story of the provo tabernacle temple.

last fall, derek and i were able to go to a dinner and the presenter was the construction manager on this new temple.  i was in awe and inspired as they discussed the process of building this temple.  most words they used were technical, but there was a spirit about them that touched me.
i've seen this temple be built from beneath the ground, up.  what a feat.  most people asked this project manager how much this temple is really going to cost.  "wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just start over?  to build a new temple?"  the answer to that is a resounding yes.  but think about the significance that that wasn't the decision.  this building was supposed to be restored.  to be rebuilt.  to take it's existing beauty and make it magnificent.
of course that takes more time, more sacrifice, more effort, more patience, and more dedication.
...but isn't that the point?
