on our fifth day in japan we decided to hit up nagoya. it's derek's life long dream to see the toyota headquarters, so that's where we went. i woke up kind of sick that day with a cold/sore throat/achey/something or other. let's just say i was a happy camper for most of it.
we took a bus, a train, another train, and a walk to the factory. getting off the train this is what we saw. rows and rows and rows of vendies. it just cracks me up. but the vending machines only sell drinks, and cigarettes.
derek's dreams come true.
inside the toyota museum. look at all these crazy cars. pretty sure toyota is trying to turn our world into wall-e. personal cars that are crazy.
please note the following dream cars:
derek in his land cruiser.
dad in his personal car.
and me in my teal minivan. seriously. who wouldn't want that minivan?!
okay, or this hot pink car.
anyways, the rest of the day was traveling back. i was kind of grumpy i think... okay, yeah i was. i pretty much had a break down in the train station about what we were going to eat for dinner. [sorry family.] remember i was kind of under the weather...anyways, i went home and read my japanese book "strangeness of beauty" and enjoyed our last night in the kyoto cottage.
