while i was sleeping...

because you all want to know just how crazy my sleeping habits are...

[3:37 a.m.]
the drapes. oh the drapes.
i was having this vivid dream. my sewing students wouldn't stop complaining because it's too dark and they can't see.  so, i did what any good teacher would do...open the blinds for them to see.
but the problem was, well, let me explain. my bed is approximately 1.5 feet from the window.
next thing i know, i'm sitting up in bed, almost falling out, as i rip open the drapes, confused as can be.
i couldn't figure out where i was or why my students were suddenly gone.
so i did as any normal person would do...i fell back asleep as derek tried over and over to get me to tell him what was happening.

[8:42 a.m.]
i woke up.  laughed.  and remembered exactly what happened the night before.

[8:56 a.m.]
i come running back in from the kitchen.  i went to jump into bed and suddenly, the entire drapes and valance came crashing down.  somehow between the running and jumping the curtains got wrapped around my leg and i pulled them completely off the wall during my dismount.  it was lovely.

[two days later.  4:12 a.m.]
derek claims i was making music by running my hand back and forth across the headboard.  multiple times.  making a very loud, obnoxious knocking noise.

[a week prior. middle of the night.]
my arm fell asleep.  really bad.  you know exactly what i'm talking about...that awful feeling when you're not sure if your arm is even attached still, and you're sleeping so you really don't know.  naturally, i wanted to make sure i still had my right arm, so i flopped it all around.  in reality, i whacked my arm really hard on derek.  and he wasn't happy.

i'm a crazy sleeper.  sue me.
[*all times are approximated.]

good night moon,
and the rest of you lovelies.

  3. hahaha. ha. haha. Oh Ashley you are a gem! Good thing Derek loves ya, right? ;) I could picture all these instances so perfectly... it was beautiful. I am toooootally a crazy sleeper too. As a kid I wasn't allowed to sleep with my door open because I would wake up the dog and make her bark.
