spent some good time in the great outdoors this weekend.
friday night meant a drive up the canyon to the best view in the neighborhood.

saturday was driving four-wheelers in the mountains.
with some stories to boot.
our adventure.
crossing over the stream.
peeing in the woods. [hate it.]
looking at all the pretty colors.
being inside a cloud. life dream fulfilled.
mom and dad going to help a guy who had an accident on our way back.
not sure if we'd run out of gas.
finally meeting up with them again.
heading back down the mountain. again.
lightening strike.
and we're heading straight towards it.
ducking down so i feel safer.
lightening again. and again.
with the thunder getting louder.
riding faster than i've ever ridden before.
scared to death. white knuckles.
the rain starts pelting our faces like little bb's.
praying the whole way down the mountain that none of us would be struck by lightening.
the immediately following thunder where we all jumped 5 feet.
finally making it to shelter and hiding out under the bathroom pavilion.
pouring rain.
the nice man offered to take dad to get the trailer.
when he makes it back, total blue skies.
it was quite the day.

okay i am IN LOVE with that picture of the single bare tree. in loooooove. as in, you should probably enter it into a photography contest or something. it's like boating, awful weather and as soon as you pull off the lake it calms down.
